Edenbridge kitchens
A bespoke kitchen is a pleasure to use for the long-term – designed for the way you want to live, cook and entertain, and to reflect your unique taste. Bespoke kitchens are always a perfect fit, even if you have wonky walls or awkward corners. A totally custom-built kitchen means that you can incorporate unique features to maximise your space and add personal touches. Because they are made to last, you can expect a lifetime of enjoyment from a handmade kitchen.
We use traditional methods, which have been gained from over 100 years’ shared expertise in cabinet making. Our craftmanship is supported by state-of-the art machinery, to ensure a perfect outcome for you. Each member of our team puts you first. We believe that our success comes from honesty, integrity and hard work – values that are shared by everyone in our business.
We mainly use MFC (melamine faced chipboard) or plywood to construct our cabinet carcasses, because they provide both strength and durability. Solid timber, typically oak or walnut, is used for our drawer boxes, finished with traditional dovetail joints. The choice of material for doors varies according to our customers’ personal choice. We might use ash for a painted woodgrain door, oak for a more traditional aesthetic, or a high-gloss acrylic for a contemporary look.
We are committed to greener, cleaner working practices. We prioritise using timber from certified forests and all the wood we use comes from responsibly managed woodlands, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, or from recycled material. We do not use any timbers listed by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species. At our showroom we have solar panels fitted and an electric car charging point. Sustainability is also a focus at our workshop, where we have a specialist wood burning stove to burn waste timber and MDF while heating the workshop.
The cost of a bespoke, handmade kitchen depends on the space, design, unique specifications and materials. It is certainly more expensive than a ready-made ‘off the shelf’ kitchen, but bespoke kitchens are a true investment. They are built to last and will give you a lifetime of enjoyment. As a guide; a small kitchen will cost from £40,000, rising to over £60,000 for larger spaces.
Following completion of your project, you’ll have peace of mind that our aftercare and ongoing services are there to keep your hardworking cabinetry in excellent condition. We want you to be happy with your home now and for years to come.
Bright, open, contemporary kitchens remain popular. We rarely design a kitchen without a practical and versatile central island, which are wonderful for breakfast and casual dining as well as additional storage. Pantry cupboards are fast becoming a kitchen staple as they are such a joy to use. Colour-wise, off whites and light greys are always popular, along with earthy tones. We are also finding that many customers want to opt for a pop of colour to add vibrance and a personal touch.
A kitchen island is a useful addition to any kitchen, whether for traditional or contemporary styles. They can act as a link between kitchen and living areas, ensuring that the cook is very much involved in the conversation! Kitchen islands offer the space for family breakfasts or casual dining, a place to do homework or just chat. They also provide plenty of storage underneath with bespoke wide drawers for pots and pans, or the incorporation of a stylish wine fridge.
Traditionally, many kitchens would have had a pantry or larder as a separate room to store food. A pantry cupboard offers a modern alternative that is an absolute joy to use. With bespoke storage for your food, spices, small appliances, and other kitchen essentials, they are easy to access but neatly shut away. Pantry cupboards often incorporate marble shelves for the cool storage of eggs and butter. We incorporate power sockets to further enhance the functionality of these lovely pieces of furniture.
Choosing your kitchen appliances is an important and exciting design decision. The breadth of choice is huge – from practical appliances for busy families, to sophisticated options for experimental chefs. Whilst it’s important to make sure you have the appliances you need, it’s a good idea to be realistic about what you are truly going to use in day to day life. We will help you to navigate all the options within your budget and specifications, to ensure you have a bespoke kitchen that it going to work for you and how you cook, live and entertain.
