A spectacular whole-house renovation in Sevenoaks

Being involved in a whole-house renovation allows us to design with a truly overarching vision.

For this extensive project in Sevenoaks, our aim was not only to create bespoke cabinetry that exceeded expectations in each individual space, but also to ensure a sense of cohesion throughout the home – weaving in subtle design threads through each room to create a thoughtful, unified result.

Here, we share the details of this ambitious project that involved a bespoke kitchen with walk-in larder, media unit, home bar, utility room, master dressing room and handmade wardrobes.

The kitchen

A modern shaker kitchen with floor to ceiling cabinetry.

Floor to ceiling cabinetry give this modern shaker kitchen a sense of space and grandeur. The rich grey is colour-matched to Finsa Gris Tormenta, lending the classic shaker style a contemporary edge. The subtle use of bronze accents in the Crofts & Assinder Henley cabinet handles, the understated lighting and black Quooker FLEX tap underpin the minimalist palette.

Our bespoke decorative panelling, crafted in a natural oak slatted profile, was selected for the back of the kitchen island facing the living space, subtly introducing warmth that perfectly complements the limed engineered oak flooring.

For both style and function, Cream Terrazzo porcelain tiles continue the floor on the opposite side of the island, creating a seamless transition between materials while ensuring practicality in high-traffic areas.

The soft, natural veins in the BorghiniQuartz bring warmth and visual texture whilst the combination of both 30mm and 80mm countertops adds emphasis to the statement island.

Our clients chose the BORA X Pure cooktop to be flush set into the central island, ensuring their open-plan space will be steam and odour-free thanks to its near silent cooktop extraction.

The media unit

Bespoke media unit.

Because this striking bespoke media unit sits within the same open-plan space as the kitchen, it was designed to echo key features of the handmade kitchen, including the rich grey paintwork, oak shelving, LED strip lighting and the slatted oak panelling on which the screen is mounted.

Instead of shaker style cabinetry, streamlined flat panel doors are best here for inobtrusive storage.

The utility room

Utility room design needs to be functional and practical, but we believe it can also be beautiful. Here, the low-maintenance flat panel doors are also finished in deep grey.

The Borghiniquartz worktop has been mirrored from the kitchen design, as has the matte black of the Spirale Spring tap from The 1810 Company, which sits perfectly above the Zenuno15 Gunmetal undermount sink.

Eye-level shelving with hidden lighting and the warm Roble Denver woodwork adds warmth and texture.

The oak shelving and panelling also echo the bespoke kitchen styling, as do the durable Cream Terrazzo porcelain tiles.

The home bar

From the outset, it was clear that entertaining lay at the heart of this home renovation. So, a bespoke home bar that would fulfil our clients’ vision was an absolute joy to design.

Whilst features such as the lighting, the gold veined countertop and bespoke panelling are instantly recognisable from the kitchen design, the home bar has its own personality.

Art Deco-inspired geometric lines and paintwork in a deep, rich grey give a feeling of luxury. Oak shelving for the bespoke wine storage is illuminated by the familiar, subtle strip lighting.

Behind the bar, the super matt Finsa Gris Gu cabinetry is paired with Imperial Grey (silk) quartz countertops, which are not only practical but also help create an intimate atmosphere when the lights are dimmed for the evening.

The dressing room

The master dressing room features ample hanging and storage space in the warm Finsa Roble Denver oak, brought to life with the rebated warm LED lighting.

The adjoining desk incorporates wide drawers with an understated handleless design, along with additional storage behind hidden pocket doors.

Bespoke storage calls for innovative thinking and a creative approach to deliver truly unique features for your home.

Here, floor to ceiling wardrobes with bronze mirror panels create both elegant and generous landing storage.

In the second dressing room, the warm oak theme continues with bespoke configurations designed to maximise every inch of space, including dual hanging areas and versatile recessed shelving.

The quality of the finish is always immaculate. The Warm lighting enhances the wood tones, while the shelving feels robust and solid – built to withstand the rigours of daily use.

We are experts in tailor-made furniture that perfectly fits your space. For this project, even the chest of drawers was designed to complement the dressing room furniture, creating a cohesive, fully bespoke approach that is entirely unique to this home.
