The epitome of a modern Beckenham kitchen
We were thrilled to be invited to Debbie and Graham’s home in Beckenham to design a new handmade kitchen and utility room for their spacious extension.
A streamlined, fresh and uncluttered feel was top of their brief.
For their Beckenham kitchen, Debbie and Graham wanted a contemporary edge, that would be timeless enough to look both current and stylish, for years to come.

Calm and uncluttered
The hallmarks of a modern kitchen are clean lines, smooth surfaces and uninterrupted expanses. This modern kitchen truly has it all.
Debbie and Graham chose minimalist flat cabinet doors in a neutral Cashmere Super Matt, contrasted with the textured, rich tone of Cleaf FA33 Penelope.
The Gola handleless trims, in bronze, maintain the sleek aesthetic, whilst blending perfectly with the darker doors and enhancing the warm, natural tones of the lighter cabinetry.
The cabinet carcasses are constructed in complementary Egger Cashmere, with oak shelves and drawer boxes.
We often collaborate with local professionals, to ensure the project is as smooth-running as possible. With this installation, AJ Rogers & Sons supplied the stunning flooring. The subtle warmth of the wood parquet creates tonal balance and beautifully harmonises with the Kitchen.

Crisp white quartz
The stunning worktops provide the fresh look that Debbie and Graham wanted.
The countertops are Caeserstone Organic White. This clean, predominantly white-bodied surface has neutral layers and subtly blended undertones.
The effect is a natural appearance that tones in perfectly with the neutral Cashmere of the cabinetry, whilst injecting the space with freshness.

Seamlessly incorporated appliances
Stunning Miele twin ovens and microwave fit seamlessly into the floor to ceiling bank of cabinetry.
Debbie and Graham also chose Miele for their dishwasher, built-in fridge and freezer.
Their Quooker tap gives them instant hot, cold and boiling water. Debbie and Graham included the Quooker Flex in Matt Black with CUBE. The Flex incorporates a pull-out hose to give extra reach around the sink, whereas the CUBE gives them the additional convenience of cooled filtered and sparkling water on demand.
The black colourway ties in all their appliances to give a cohesive feel. Their modern, undermounted sink in stainless steel is by The 1810 Company.

Streamlined flush-fit
Debbie and Graham chose to incorporate the sleek BORA X Pure cooktop with built-in extractor, within their central island.
The flush-fit gives an uninterrupted feel to their island, especially with the chosen ‘shiny’ finish that gives continuity with the surface of the quartz.
Also incorporated into their island is a subtle EVOline BackFlip socket, giving them extra power sockets, only when they’re needed.

All in the details
With a bespoke modern kitchen, everything is designed for you, down to the finest details.
The perimeter quartz countertops have mitred ends to give a sharp, contemporary finish, defining the space from the rest of the cabinetry and framing the base unit doors perfectly.
When it comes to storage, we take great care to ensure your cabinetry and drawers are designed to perfectly suit your needs and requirements.
Custom-built cutlery and utensil drawers not only look great, they keep everything neatly in its place.

Drum and base
We designed and built a drum base for the central island for built-in seating.
The Cashmere finish matches the cabinetry, whilst rebated LED lighting in the quartz countertop gives side-emitting light, to highlight this unique feature.

The perfect pantry
Subtly housed behind double doors is a stunning and spacious chef’s pantry.
Oak shelving provides plenty of space for ingredients. There are condiment and spice racks on the inside of each door.
The quartz cool shelf is perfect for butter and eggs, and ideal for smaller appliances that can be stored away to keep surfaces uncluttered.

A utility room to match
Part of this stunning project was to design and build bespoke cabinetry for Debbie and Graham’s perfect utility room.
Everything has been designed around their needs, from the stacked washing machine and tumble dryer, convenient sink with cupboards underneath, to the floor to ceiling cabinetry with variable hanging and storage space.
The space is perfectly matched with the kitchen, to give a seamless transition from one room to another.

The feature media unit
There are many stunning and unique features in this modern kitchen, but perhaps the ‘pièce de résistance’ is the feature media unit.
The TV panelling is constructed using Finsa Roble Aurora, which has a unique black core to achieve this striking finish. The timber also adds vibrancy and warmth to the space.
