Innovative storage – making the most of your space with bespoke cabinetry

From under stair nooks, to oddly-shaped alcoves, awkward spaces often go unused, creating missed opportunities for both style and storage.

With bespoke cabinetry and furniture, we transform neglected areas into functional and beautiful features.

Whether it’s a hidden bar, practical boot room, bespoke dresser or built-in cupboards, we can help you make the most of every inch of your space while showcasing your personal style.

Discover how our custom, handmade designs have brought harmony, utility and charm to unique spaces.

Built-in dresser

For this stunning, bright dining room, our brief was to create a dresser that was large enough to store crockery, cutlery and glassware, but would not dominate the room – and very importantly, would leave a clear thoroughfare to the wide patio doors.

Our solution was to make the most of the wall space, ensuring that the depth of the dresser was no more than the perfect dimensions to cater for our client’s needs.

We even fitted the dresser back around the skirting, to make the most of every inch of space.

Large, wide drawers offer plenty of space for cutlery boxes.

The generous cupboards cater for crockery and cookware, whilst the glass fronted cabinetry on top houses glassware, with internal lighting to give the perfect evening ambiance.

Awkward space storage solutions

Landings can often be under-used spaces – and inconsistent ceiling height can make finding the right cupboards extremely challenging.

That’s where bespoke, built-in cabinetry really comes into its own.

Floor to ceiling cabinetry maximises every inch of the available space and it can be custom made to seamlessly follow the wall and ceiling contours.

This oak cabinetry, with hidden handles for an uncluttered effect, is the perfect example:

Our customers needed space for bulky, yet precious items such as photo albums.

Their landing cabinetry gives them the smart and versatile storage they need, whilst looking beautiful:

Hidden bar

This innovative bar was part of a renovation of a large open plan kitchen/diner where entertaining was central to the design.

Our customers wanted to incorporate a bar to store their wine, drinks and glassware, but it was important to keep the minimalist theme throughout the space.

The wall where the bar needed to be is adjacent to their garden doors, so it had fit perfectly into the available space.

Shaker door panelling

The overarching design is one of uniformity, with the Shaker panelling of the doors mirroring the kitchen design. With glassware illuminated behind glass panels either side.

However, the real magic happens when the doors are open:

The doors open to reveal a mirrored back reflecting the contents and giving a feeling of space.

Custom-made wine storage is subtly housed underneath the bar.

Fully retractable doors mean that the footprint of the bar is always the same, keeping the space open and uncluttered.

Kitchen bar

Bespoke bars are becoming increasingly popular, so it was an absolute joy to be able to create handmade cabinetry that would fulfil our customers’ dream of a bar in their kitchen, and make the most of an awkward space at same time.

In a kitchen, the areas where people typically spend the most time are near the cooker and sink. Therefore, the best location for a bar is often a space that isn’t suited for routine kitchen tasks, but comes into its own on social occasions!

Custom-built wine storage surrounds the central bar, which has been designed to match the kitchen cabinetry in EGGER Vulcano panels. Further storage and the wine fridge sit under an elegant quartz countertop.

Boot rooms

Having the luxury of a space that’s dedicated to storing coats, footwear and outdoor gear, can really transform your living space.

With tailored storage solutions such as hooks, benches, and built-in cupboards, they can perform several functions in one.

This boot room is separated from the hall cabinetry with contrasting fir green paint and the warmth of the oak slats and bench, creating a designated space of its own:

Our customers also asked us to design and build a bespoke bar for their home.
