The Miele warming drawer – ‘proof’ it’s not just for dough…

We are always delighted to show visitors to our showroom our range of Miele appliances – they never fail to impress. Not only does innovative technology run through every aspect of their products, they are always beautifully styled so they sit as happily in a traditional kitchen as they do a contemporary space.

The Miele warming drawer is much more than a convenient space to warm crockery (although this certainly has its place in a busy kitchen!)

For would-be Bake Off contenders, it’s the ideal space for perfectly risen dough, and in the absence of a Paul Hollywood hand shake, you can always pat yourself on the back!

But the Miele warming drawer offers so much more and will prove itself to be an appliance that’s hard to live without.

The convenience of low-temperature cooking

The Miele warming drawer is actually another cooking appliance in its own right. It enables precise low-temperature cooking, which is something that has been traditionally used in professional kitchens, but is becoming increasingly popular for home cooking.

For busy households, it provides the convenience of dishes that can be prepared in advance and left of cook without the need to monitor them, ideal for hearty stews and casseroles.

Perfectly cooked meat

Cooking at a consistent and controlled low-temperature provides the perfect environment for cooking a variety of meat dishes. Whether it is beef, pork, lamb, game or chicken, the outcome is always tender and succulent.

It is important to maintain the core temperature in the warming drawer until the dish needs to be served. No resting is required as juices are evenly distributed during cooking – searing the meat first ensures the meat juices is sealed in.

Style and substance

Miele offer a range of aesthetic options to ensure their warming drawer is flexible enough to fit with any kitchen. They start at a slim 14cm in height and are available with a choice of fascias for seamless styling. The drawer fits neatly under all Miele ovens for a cohesive look.

Star Baker is in reach…

The Miele warming drawer is versatile kitchen companion, it can be used for a surprising range of dishes. Proving yeast dough for cakes, bread and pizzas is made simple.

For cooks who cater for a sweet tooth, the warming drawer is fantastic for dissolving gelatin or melting chocolate, baking meringues and making rice pudding. It can also be used for homemade yoghurt.

Other uses include gentle, safe defrosting and, of course, warming cups and plates.

Your very own Sous Chef

With all its uses, it’s no wonder the creators of the Mele warming drawer nicknamed it the ‘Sous Chef’.

Aside from its day-to-day uses and the confidence it gives for delivering beautifully cooked dishes, when entertaining, especially at Christmas, the warming drawer is a true friend!

Keeping hot food table-ready, without danger of it drying out, is the help every home cook needs.
