Storage solutions

Creating innovative storage that makes the most of every inch of space – whilst still looking beautiful – is what our craftsmen do best.

Bespoke bedroom cabinetry needs to work hard, to ensure that clothing and shoes have adequate space, so that they remain fresh and crease-free when you want to wear them! Details such as our 38mm hanging rails ensure that our cabinetry always has that feeling of quality.

From floor-to-ceiling wardrobes to drawers with bespoke dividers, our cabinetry carcasses are constructed in Lancaster Oak MFC (Melamine Faced Chipboard) which is solid and hardwearing to stand the test of time. Storage can also be constructed in clever ways such as within a window seat, as shown here.

In the project below, a combination of full-length wardrobe and a divided space offers a huge amount of storage in an area of the bedroom that wasn’t being effectively used.

The Shaker style doors and traditional handles are in keeping with the rest of the house giving a feeling of continuity. The cabinetry is painted to match Farrow & Ball ‘Pavilion Gray’, which subtly blends with the décor.

Dressing room dreams

Where space allows, dressing rooms are increasingly popular because they give a dedicated room for clothing and shoes, which frees up space in the bedroom.

Dressing room

In the project shown above for customers in Sevenoaks, the full length of the dressing room was lined with floor to ceiling storage. Sturdy MFC (melamine faced chipboard) in a Lancaster Oak finish was used for the carcasses.

The symmetrical design leads the eye to the en-suite beyond and gives a feeling of harmony to the space. The elegant Shaker doors are finished to match Farrow & Ball ‘Dimpse’ paint.

Drawer with bespoke dividers

The bespoke drawer dividers shown above make the cabinetry a joy to use, especially for people who like things organised!

We subtly carved the customers’ names into the sides of their ‘his and hers’ drawers – little details like this are what pride ourselves on.

His, Hers, Theirs

Whether we are creating a bedroom for a shared space or for very individual taste, we always carefully design our handmade bedroom furniture to achieve the desired overall aesthetic.

In the example below, the brief was a light and glamourous space, with plenty of wardrobes and a dressing table as the central focus of the cabinetry.

One wall of the room is used for the wardrobes, with a chest of drawers cleverly incorporated to one side. The dressing table and chest of drawers are finished with a solid oak top, with ogee edge detail.

The traditional feel of the rest of the house, is reflected by the in-frame shaker doors finished to match Farrow & Ball ‘Dovetail’.

The project shown below was for a boy’s bedroom. The aim for the cabinetry here was to achieve a multifunctional space and contemporary style that would take him forward in to his teen years and beyond.

The sleek profile of the cupboards is enhanced by the handle-less design. All cabinetry was hand built using veneered Ash panels, and finished in anthracite grey. In the desk area, we installed downlights and ample plug sockets. A mid-century style chair complements the oak desk and shelving.

This project beautifully illustrates how our cabinetry can be tailored to suit very specific needs.

Every section of the floor to ceiling wardrobes is configured differently, each with stunning solid oak carcasses and drawers. The different clothes have adequate space to keep them perfectly organised and easily accessible.

Mirror image

Mirrors can be used very effectively as part of bedroom furniture design. They do more that offer you a reflection of yourself.

They can break up a bank of wardrobes to add interest, they can be used to bounce natural light around a room, or reflect a feature wall or ceiling light as an aesthetic device.

Mirrors are also an extremely effective way of giving a feeling of space to a room when incorporated into wardrobe doors, achieving an open feel to the space.

Wardrobes with mirrors

We have developed a range of wardrobe doors, which feature intricate latticework over the mirrored surface. Whilst the mirrors augment the light in the room and increase the feeling of space, the latticework adds interest and depth.

We offer a range of latticework designs, which includes ‘Roma’ shown below.

Latticework wardrobe doors

Our latticework doors can be customised, so if you have a specific pattern in mind, our design team can help. The doors and latticework can be painted in any colour required and handles can be chosen to finish the doors to suit your style.

The perfect finish

Finishing touches such as a carefully chosen paint colour or door handles can give a personal aesthetic to your bedroom furniture. This that means that it will not only fit perfectly within your home, it will give you the true sanctuary that a bedroom should be.

Here the warm grey of Farrow & Ball ‘Purbeck Stone’ gives the restful atmosphere our customers wanted to achieve. Painting wardrobe doors in the same colour as the walls can heighten a feeling of calm within a bedroom setting.

In the loft bedroom shown below, the flat panel doors give a sleek and uncluttered feeling. The black leather bar handles are a strong design feature that give a statement finishing touch.

The warm tones of the American black walnut in the bedroom below work perfectly with the natural tones used in the décor. The ‘Amerock’ T-bar handles give the rich wood a contemporary feel. We also worked with the client to design and handcraft their bed, which features white glass panels and built-in lighting.
