EGGER wood products – sustainability from the ground up
Part of our commitment to our customers is a responsibility to greener, cleaner working practices.
We are constantly innovating the way we work to improve our carbon footprint and reduce waste. Our workshop in Tonbridge, which we acquired last year, is a great example of this.
Here, we have installed a specialist wood burning stove for our wood and MDF waste, which burns in an environmentally friendly way and heats our workshop with the energy it produces. Plus, newly fitted solar panels mean that we expect to be close to 50% self-sufficient with our energy usage.
This commitment to sustainability is demonstrated in our use of EGGER wood products for much of our handmade cabinetry.

EGGER is a shining light in ethically and sustainably produced wood products, and their passion for the environment is matched by their emphasis on quality and aesthetics.

More from wood
Since it was founded in 1961, EGGER has always stood for the responsible use of wood.
EGGER only works with FSC and PEFC accredited forests, which are managed to the highest environmental, social and economic standards.
These principles run throughout their operation – from efficient production to closed-loop waste management.

EGGER is always at the forefront of innovative design, reflecting the latest trends as well as showcasing the natural beauty of wood.
Their wood grain reproductions are elegant and versatile.

Time for more trees
In response to national concern that the supply of wood will fall behind demand, EGGER instigated their ‘Time for more trees’ campaign.
EGGER’s campaign involves collaborating with local and national representatives, from relevant authorities and specialist associations, to highlight the importance of tree planting, and share their expertise in the forestry sector.
As part of their latest product launch, EGGER have pledged to plant a tree on behalf of each new customer, to offset the carbon emitted during production of their product swatches. Their goal is to plant 5,000 trees in a forestry site local to their Hexham plant.
The tree species will be planted in accordance with UK forest guidelines for healthy, sustainable woodland habitat.

Customer experience
We see it as our responsibility to work with suppliers, like EGGER, that have an ethical approach to producing exemplary products.
What our customers experience is handmade cabinetry that is thoughtfully designed, expertly crafted with a finish that is truly stunning.
