The Powerswitch 2.0 – smarter energy management from Quooker

Quooker taps are renowned for supplying instant boiling water on demand, whilst consuming minimal energy.

The Powerswitch 2.0 is Quooker’s latest innovation in safe and efficient energy use.

This three-way adapter is designed to safely connect a Quooker boiling-water tank, the CUBE and a third appliance – your dishwasher for example – to the same power socket.

The Powerswitch intelligently manages power distribution across the system, to achieve even and safe energy use.

With the Powerswitch you have the reassurance of:

  • Safe connection of multiple appliances to a single socket
  • Prevention of circuit overload for peace of mind
  • The convenience of easy retrospective installations without the need for an electrician

How does the Powerswitch manage energy distribution?

The Quooker Powerswitch is designed to prevent the circuit from overloading, whilst still enabling convenient function of all your appliances.

The Powerswitch detects when the third-party appliance is in use (for example your dishwasher) and will then switch the Quooker tank to standby mode if too much power is being drawn by that appliance.

This ensures that your dishwasher will operate as normal – plus, your Quooker system will still allow you to draw off existing boiling water. To safely manage power, the system temporarily pauses heating incoming water while the dishwasher is in use.

The Quooker CUBE

The Powerswitch is designed for households that enjoy the benefits of both a Quooker boiling water tap alongside the Quooker CUBE.

The Quooker CUBE extends the functions of your Quooker tap by adding cooled filtered and sparkling water – typically around 5°C colder than standard tap water.

You can purchase a Quooker CUBE alongside a new Quooker tap or as an addition to your existing Quooker system (so long as it was produced after October 2017).
