Miele washing machines receive Which? Eco Buy recommendation

Miele are keen to make the most of their well-deserved sustainability credentials.

Alongside their message of ‘Obsessed with quality that lasts’, they now have an accolade from the new Which? Eco Buy recommendation introduced in November 2020.

The Which? Eco Buy recommendation was awarded to four Miele washing machines.

What is it about Miele machines?

The Which? Eco Buy accolade is the first to examine appliances from the perspective of their sustainability. Washing machines and dishwashers are first to come under the Which? scrutiny to establish those that have the least harmful impact on the environment, while still proving an economical choice for consumers. Which? also look at how easy it is to repair the appliance to ensure its longevity, along with energy efficiency and water usage.

In 2021, Which? reported that, “Miele washing machines will need replacing less often than those of its rivals on average. Miele machines not only wash well, but they last too. The brand has an excellent estimated average lifespan of more than 21 years”.

Experience the quality for yourself at our showroom

At Great British Kitchens and Interiors, Miele has always been high on the list of our recommended appliance brands. We’re confident not only in their quality and longevity, but the real economic benefits they bring – they are always an investment that pays off through reliability and efficiency. We display a wide selection of appliances at our showroom, so that you can see the quality for yourself.

Far from utilitarian

Utility room design is a key part of the overall planning for a new kitchen. The design of this hardworking room can reflect the finish of the kitchen through cabinetry and worksurfaces, but it can do so much more.

Appliances can be cleverly incorporated into the space. When they are as stylish and understated as our Miele range, they complement any design. Integrated white goods can also make the most of surrounding storage, to create the most practical design for your family’s lifestyle.

Storage can be stylish as well as practical. For example, the tambour-style roller shutter below is space saving and creates easy access, with household equipment hidden away from view.

A well-planned utility room is not only a pleasure to work in, it’s very easy to keep clean and tidy!
