A study in Tonbridge that truly rises to the challenge

There are certain projects that need to cater for very specific client requirements.

This stylish home office in Tonbridge was certainly an example of how our skilled cabinet makers are able to rise to the challenge.

Our clients had inherited the standard ‘developer’ furniture throughout their home that was included when the house was built. This was neither functional nor practical for them, so they asked us to improve their space and provide the perfect solutions for their lifestyle, starting with their home office furniture.

The rise and fall

The brief for the study furniture was to create better storage that was both aesthetically pleasing and practical, a calm space with clean lines and, importantly, the study needed to incorporate a rise and fall desk.

The desk rises to the exact height required at the push of a button and retracts to fit seamlessly into the surrounding glass top. The functionality is subtly hidden in purpose-built cabinetry to the side of the desk.

The glass tops are back-painted in white to create a crisp freshness that contrasts beautifully with the rich warmth of the wooden cabinetry.

Rich roast

The cabinetry carcasses and drawers are constructed in solid oak and faced with ‘roasted cocoa’ stained ash. This gives a lovely richness to the overall impression of the room, especially when complemented by the calming sage green of the walls.

‘J-pull’ handles, so called because of the scooped shape that is cut out of the wood, finish the cabinet doors and spacious drawers to achieve the clean lines of the clients’ brief.

On display

The theme of the woodwork is continued into the bespoke shelving, making the most of every inch of space. The overall effect is a calm workspace that perfectly combines the cosiness of the dark wood with the clean, crisp lines of the glass desk.

Customer satisfaction is a priority

Our clients were delighted with the design and end result of their home office and this was clear from their feedback:

Extremely happy with the service we received. From design through manufacturing and fitting we were always kept informed of progress and the installation was done to the highest standards. The study has been transformed. It is obvious from start to finish that customer satisfaction is a priority. Highly recommend.
