Kitchen transformations – for less than you might think!

Kitchen refurbishments in Kent

If your kitchen is looking a bit tired or dated, a kitchen refurbishment with replacement cupboard doors and drawer fronts will give it a fresh, new, energised look. And it might not cost as much as you think.

All it takes is a little bit of imagination, inspiration and our expert advice to find the best option for your “new, old” kitchen.

Cudham kitchen transformation

In this home we carried out a facelift of a dated traditional kitchen by changing the doors and trims to complement the existing worktops. To do this the cabinet framework needs to be in good shape (which is quite likely if it was originally built by us!).

We chose doors painted in Farrow & Ball’s “London Stone”, a warm grey. The client still liked the traditional feel of the original kitchen, so we retained a shaker style for the cabinet doors.

We consulted with the client and used our years of experience to address anything that didn’t work with the old lay out. We created additional storage space with new cabinets, adding some modern in-cupboard storage solutions such as easy-to-use pull out mechanisms.

Above the AGA we changed the overmantle to a more contemporary, less imposing design.

Finally, we remodelled the old, traditional dresser with a sleek, clean, modern upgrade with new Rosso Multicolour granite to match the some of the existing worktops.

As a result, the kitchen has a fresh, contemporary feel, but at a fraction of the cost of a new kitchen.

Bexley kitchen transformation

Open plan living is becoming a normal way of life, with more and more families using the extra space to relax and socialise in. The kitchen is truly the heart of the modern open plan home, so it’s important to make the most of the available space.

A dated design can easily be refreshed and modernised by introducing an island; this will dramatically change the ergonomics and functionality of your kitchen.

In this home, we completely re-modelled an island to incorporate a modern dining space for the family. The existing Corian worktops were adapted to accommodate the impressive Granite slab top and create a real “wow” factor.

This transformation revitalised the space and changed the dynamics of the kitchen.

How much does it cost?

Well, it’s a lot cheaper than a complete re-fit! You can complete a kitchen facelift for as little as £5,000. So, it’s a perfect approach if you have a tight budget or have only fallen out of love with some aspects of your kitchen design. It’s an efficient, effective alternative to a complete overhaul.

Transforming your kitchen

A kitchen facelift can simply be giving your cabinetry a quick refresh with a few coats of paint and some new handles. Or it can be more substantial work such as adding some open shelving to make your kitchen feel warm, friendly and inviting. There are many ways in which we can transform your kitchen.

Trends and tastes change like the wind – a facelift allows you to update and upgrade in an affordable manner. So, you can always have a kitchen you love.
