Hot on the heels of the 2019 launch of the Pure, BORA have now launched the X Pure – a larger and, arguably, more stylish evolution of the original model.

The X Pure

The X Pure has all the benefits that you’d expect from BORA, including:

  • Minimal operating sound, so you can cook in peace.
  • Efficient removal of cooking odours, moisture and grease.
  • Easy to clean the hob and removable parts which can all go in the dishwasher.
  • “eSwap” system for quick and easy filter changes.
  • Intuitive “sControl”, so you can control everything at the touch of a finger.

With its stylish, minimalist design the X Pure makes an excellent addition to any kitchen. In fact, it’s already become a Platinum Winner at the MUSE Design Awards.

Pure vs X Pure

While sharing many of the benefits of the 2019 Pure model, the X Pure has a few differences:

A step up in size

The cooking area on the X Pure is significantly larger than the Pure.

The Pure has two rear cooking zones which are 175mm in diameter and two 210mm front cooking zones.

By comparison, all four of the X Pure’s cooking zones are 230mm in diameter. Plus, you can create an even larger cooking area using the bridging function.

Hob bridging function

While the four 230mm diameter cooking areas will be ample for most of your needs, occasionally a larger space is required. Perhaps for a large roasting tin or griddle plate?

To give you this flexibility, the X Pure allows you to combine each side of the hob to create two large 230mm by 460mm cooking areas. This clever ‘bridging’ function brings each side under a single control, so it’s still as simple to use.

Extractor design

The design of the central, round extractor differs between the Pure and X Pure.

The Pure has a concentric circle design while the X Pure has a multitude of narrow, diamond shaped pillars.
