The Benefit of Bespoke:
We can build whatever is required to make the most of any space.
Here, for example; we built a stunning bespoke walk-in wardrobe for one of our clients’ sons in his Attic Bedroom. The obvious difficulties faced with any Attic room are the angles and variations in the ceiling and this was certainly a challenge for us to work with on this particularly interesting project.
One thing you do have to bare in mind when designing any kind of custom attic cabinetry; and most certainly for this kind of project where we are building the appropriate bespoke niche units, is how you are actually going to get the cabinetry/elements up into the room.
Making the most of the space available to us; and given the restricted access, we designed and built this beautiful Painted Ash walk-in wardrobe tailored to our clients’ precise requirements and specifications as discussed during our design process.
Clean and simple
Contemporary (remember, it’s for an 18yr old)
Durable, strong handles
Easy to maintain, easy to clean
Plenty of hanging space and plenty of storage space for his trainers
We approached this project clear in our mind of what we wanted to achieve. Firstly; and most importantly, maximizing the storage in the unique dressing area. The space was deep enough to allow us to construct some open shelving behind the hanging rail, which spans the length of the Wardrobes, thus solving two main requirements of our client: plenty of hanging and plenty of space to store his trainers.
We also built two Oak shelving units on either side of the doorway to provide further storage and extra support for the hanging rail. We opted for three sets of solid Oak dovetailed drawers and a beautiful Oak veneered top to finish the room off nicely.
